Partnering With Copyright Alliance To Target Entrepreneurs in - Narm

September 25, 2012 ? digitalmusic.org, the virtual home of music business association NARM?s digital initiatives, is teaming with the Copyright Alliance to broaden the scope of the popular Music Start Up Academy by hosting the first Entertainment Startup Academy in the nation?s capital of Washington, DC, on Monday, October 15, from 12:30 to 6 p.m. at the USPTO Madison Building. These educational sessions, which will encompass all forms of media, are built for aspiring entrepreneurs, aiming to reduce the barriers for entry into the entertainment industry by teaching them everything they need to know about important concepts such as copyright, content acquisition, and the technical side of the entertainment business.

Registration is available now for $59 per person at http://entertainmentstartupacademydc.eventbrite.com/. After 9am Wednesday, October 10, registration will be $109.

A deeper dive into the economics of the entertainment industry, including where to get the rights you need for the creative works you use.
