The latest addition to Wes Anderson?s The Grand Budapest Hotel has been confirmed as Ralph Fiennes. As yet there has been little revealed about his role except that he will carry out duties as the hotel?s concierge, M. Gustave.
While the production has been plagued with casting rumours from the start, it appears that Fiennes is a definite. He will join confirmed cast mates Bill Murray, Jude Law and Angela Lansbury and touted talent Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Owen Wilson.
Anderson has remained quiet on plot details and on corroborating those that are actually set to star. All that is known is that it will be set in Europe and is due to commence filming in January.
This latest piece of casting news earns a well-deserved hurrah for bringing in new talent to Anderson?s go-to band of actors and for netting Ralph Fiennes a role away from his usual choices. I think he?ll make a great addition to Anderson?s quirky universe and I?m thrilled to see him join the film.
Fiennes will be appearing next in Skyfall, Great Expectations and his directorial effort, The Invisible Woman.
